Help make commencement memorable for new EIU alumni!

Can you spare 2 or 3 hours of your time to make commencement the perfect day for Eastern’s newest alumni?

Volunteers are being sought to assist with commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 9th. The types of volunteer positions vary and include assisting those with special needs to their seats; taking tickets at the entrances to Lantz Arena; and assisting the graduates to their seating in advance of the ceremony.

All of these positions are essential and allow for volunteers to interact with graduates and their families directly. Those interested in helping can volunteer in shifts of approximately 2 ½ hours (approx. 1 ½ hours before the ceremony; ½ an hour to 1 hour into the ceremony).
